It’s Raining Letters

Miss Val

Here’s a project to help your child learn or review his or her name.

Gather blue paper for the rain drops, white for the clouds and a sheet of paper for the background.

If your child is ready, allow him or her to practice cutting out the raindrops. Draw a bold black line for your child to cut along.

If your child needs some guidance, write the word on the underside of a cloud and tape it so he or she can flip the cloud to see the word. You can choose to work on your child’s first name, last name, or a sight word. You could even practice a phone number.

This is a playful way to practice literacy skills and keep your child interested in learning. Have fun! 🌧
