Feelings Tree

Miss Val

Let’s take some time today to work on self-regulation skills. Self-regulation is the ability to understand and manage your own behavior and reactions. This is such an important life skill and a great skill to have to be school ready.

For a little more information on self-regulation, check out this article: https://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/5675896

One way to develop self-regulation is through talking about feelings. Yesterday, Miss Tracy W shared a beautiful story about feelings. Exploring and naming our feelings is something we work on each day at preschool.

Can you guess what these little hearts are feeling?

Here is a ”lovely” activity where you can create a feelings tree. Instructions can be found at https://preschooltoolkit.com/blog/how-to-make-a-feelings-tree-with-preschoolers/. Give your child a chance to talk about his or her feelings with you today. ❤️
